Pink Gallery is very pleased to announce ‘The Ghost of City’ Yooho Jang solo exhibition. Yooho Jang received his BFA, and MFA in paintings from Hongik University in Seoul Korea. Since then he has had many exhibitions in S. Korea, China and Japan. His mixed media works are very interesting as what can be seen from “Spiderman-Mass” and “The shadow of Spiderman”. The amusements of a child, and a nice gentlemen’s play can be found in his work at the same time. Right now, the artist is working as a director of ‘Muan Seungwoo Oh Museum of Art’. It will be very interesting to follow up and to see more of his active shows and his new works in the future.
‘The Ghosts of City’
The meaning of ghost is that I have been feeling ‘unreal’, and ‘numbness about being’, also questioning about ‘the gravity of information society’, and ‘today’s uncertain ideas in all the mass media’. This is what I see as today’s problem which seems the confusion in all the mass media and in the society where I am living seem unsafely situated. -Yooho Jang
