Begun in 2004, Move on Asia is an annual event organized by the Asia Curators Network. It is an 'Asian video art festival' involving the participation of 20 curators and 40 video artists from 15 nations in Asia.
Move on Asia is comprised of exhibitions, seminars, and publications, generating discourses around a different theme each year. For the current 6th Move on Asia, we will explore the past and present of video art in Asia by re-examining the 144 artists who have participated in the previous 1st to 5th exhibitions.
Furthermore, 13 curators from 13 nations will participate in the seminar to introduce the video art scene in different nations and shed light on the future development of moving image in the 21st century. The exhibition will also travel in Asia and Europe to engage with a wider and international audience.
