| Introduction | ONE AND J. Gallery was founded in 2005 in Seoul, Korea and is managed by Won Jae Park (co-founder and managing director) and Patrick Lee. The gallery is focused on showing the works of emerging contemporary artists and has quickly established a reputation as a solid foundation for the advancement of contemporary art. ONE AND J. Gallery’s strong curatorial focus is evidenced in the impressive group exhibitions that the gallery’s artists have participated in to date.Since the opening of the gallery, ONE AND J. Gallery represented artists have participated in the Gwangju Biennale, Busan Biennale, Singapore Biennial, the 5th Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art, and the Echigo-Tsumari Triennial.The artists we have worked with have shown in compelling group exhibitions including: Chaotic Harmony (Museum of Fine Art, Houston); Re-Imagining Asia (House of World Cultures - Berlin); the Elegance of Silence (Mori Museum); Fiction @Love (MOCA Shanghai); Art Spectrum (Samsung Museum of Art); Passage de Retz; Officina Asia, Korea Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, Platform Seoul and numerous exhibitions at the National Museum of Contemporary Art and Seoul Museum of Art. The gallery has also participated in global art fairs including the Armory Show (NY), ARCO (Madrid), VOLTA (Basel), Pulse (Miami and NY), ART HK (HK), ShContemporary (Shanghai), and Scope (Miami and Basel). |
