| Introduction | Suwon is home to the world cultural heritage site Hwaseong Fortress, and Suwon Art Center is a public art space opened in 1999. The center is a complex artistic spaces embracing the creative art culture of the Southern Gyeonggi region. It has been an artistic hub through artistic activities, the offering of a cultural, artistic space, artistic encounters with diverse artworks, and planned exhibitions displaying contemporary art generating discourse. The center also spearheads local art culture through research, educational, and promotional activities, projects, and art-specialized programs. The center enhances cultural productivity through quality shows harmonizing expertise and popularity, and diverse educational programs to increase the population of art lovers.
